How to scientifically store aluminium products?

Firstly, the basic principles of aluminium product preservation: The preservation of aluminium products needs to take into account their physical and chemical properties. Aluminum itself has a certain degree of corrosion resistance, but its surface printing layer (such as ink, coating, etc.) is easily affected by the external environment, especially under conditions of high temperature, light, humidity or severe pollution.
The scientific preservation of aluminium products needs to start from the following aspects:
1. Store away from light
Ultraviolet rays in sunlight are one of the main reasons for the color fading of the printed layer on aluminum products. Ultraviolet rays can cause the pigments in ink to decompose, especially in high-temperature environments, accelerating the fading process. Therefore, aluminium products should be stored in a cool and dark place to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
2. Resistant to high temperatures and temperature differences
High temperatures can accelerate the oxidation and decomposition of ink. Especially in regions with high summer temperatures such as Spain, the printed layer on the surface of aluminum products is prone to fading or peeling due to excessively high temperatures. In addition, temperature differences may also cause the coating on the surface of aluminium materials to crack. Therefore, aluminium products should be stored in an environment with stable temperature, avoiding high temperatures and significant temperature differences.
3. Moisture-proof and pollution-proof
Damp environments and pollutants in the air (such as sulfides, salt spray, etc.) may also cause damage to the surface printing layer of aluminum products. The ink and coating on the surface of aluminium materials are prone to mold growth or corrosion in a humid environment, so it is necessary to keep the storage environment dry and clean.
4. Reasonable stacking and packaging
During the storage and transportation of aluminium products, it is necessary to avoid squeezing or scratching caused by improper stacking. Furthermore, reasonable packaging can effectively prevent the erosion of aluminum products by the external environment.
Specific preservation method
1. Choose an appropriate storage environment
Aluminum products should be stored in a well-ventilated, dry and cool warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high-temperature environments.
The temperature in the warehouse should be controlled between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, and the humidity should be maintained at 40% to 60%.
Avoid storing aluminium products in areas close to heat sources (such as heaters, boilers) or direct sunlight.
2. Use UV-resistant packaging materials
When packaging aluminium products, it is recommended to use UV-resistant packaging materials (such as light-blocking films, cartons, etc.) to reduce direct sunlight exposure to the printed layer.
For products that need to be transported or stored for a long time, double-layer packaging can be adopted. The outer layer should be made of light-blocking materials and the inner layer of moisture-proof materials.
3. Reasonable stacking and fixation
Aluminum products should be neatly stacked to avoid overlapping, overpressure or tilting. Pallets or brackets can be used for fixation to ensure that each product has sufficient support.
Avoid direct contact of aluminium products with other metals or hard objects to prevent scratches or damage.
4. Regular inspection and maintenance
During storage, it is necessary to regularly check whether the printed layer on the surface of aluminum products has faded, fallen off or been contaminated.
If problems are found in the printing layer, they should be replaced or repaired in time to avoid major losses caused by minor issues.
5. Protective measures during transportation
During transportation, prolonged exposure to sunlight or high-temperature environments should be avoided as much as possible. Sunshades or refrigerated transportation can be used.
For aluminium products exported to high-temperature areas, it is recommended to take protective measures in advance (such as adding light-blocking layers, using sealed packaging, etc.) to reduce the impact of environmental factors.
Countermeasures and preventive suggestions
1. Optimization of the storage environment
If the customer is unable to change the storage environment (such as an open-air warehouse), it is recommended to add a protective layer (such as a transparent coating) on the product surface to enhance its resistance to ultraviolet rays and high temperatures.
Offer suggestions for improving the storage environment, such as adding shading facilities or using air conditioning equipment to regulate temperature.
2. Optimize the transportation plan
During transportation, it is recommended to choose transport vehicles with better sunshade performance and try to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during the day.
If the product needs to be transported for a long time, refrigerated transportation can be considered to reduce the impact of environmental temperature on the printing layer.
3. Communicate with customers and provide preservation guidelines
We will provide customers with detailed guidelines for the storage of aluminium products, including specific requirements such as avoiding light, high temperature and moisture.
It is recommended that customers store the products immediately in a cool and dry place after receiving them to avoid secondary exposure.
4. Improve the printing process
During the production process, it is advisable to consider using high-temperature resistant and UV-resistant inks to enhance the stability of the printing layer.
Increase the curing time of the printing layer or adopt a special coating process to enhance the adhesion and anti-aging ability of the ink.
